The State of Indiana has issued an RFP to select a vendor that can satisfy the State’s need for an online EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) system for the delivery of supplemental food benefits to eligible WIC Program participants. The resulting contract stemming from this RFP will allow the WIC Program to issue benefits electronically and will allow participants to access these benefits through the use of WIC EBT cards at WIC authorized vendors.
The selected EBT system must interface seamlessly with the WIC MIS system. Please note that a new WIC MIS (a transfer of the Michigna/Florida WIC MIS) is being implemented at the same time as the proposed EBT system. The MIS system being transferred is complaint with current USDA/FNS WIC EBT interface requirements per the WIC EBT Universal Interface Document v 1.6 dated June 2012, but will be upgraded to the most recent published version of the Universal Interface.
